1 Second Long?

I knew SpaceX was cutting corners – but to require 9 engines to fire for the full flight, and to have a launch window only 1 second long – as reported in Popular Mechanics – is cutting it too close.  There’s no margin there.

UPDATE: (May 22)  Looks like they were successful – at least for the launch – today.  Will be interesting to see how they did on the telemetry.
